Park Place Early Learning Center

Park Place Early Learning Center is seeking board members who are interested in children and have a business background. Board meetings are the third Wednesday of the month, 12 noon at LCCC in the Center for Leadership building on Burns Rd. Board responsibilities include attendance and participation at the board meeting.

Park Place Early Learning Center philosophy and aim is to provide affectionate care, feeding, and professional instruction to all children regardless of race, creed, handicap, sex, ethnicity, and economic background; to supplement, the best that an educational center can, the family and home; and to involve parents personally in the activities of the Center.

Park Place Early Learning Center is a non-profit daycare started by Invacare, Ridge Tool, Elyria Savings and Loan, Northern Savings and Loan, The Nord Center, and Elyria Memorial Hospital. The intent was to create a learning facility that would foster an environment for learning, lower child to teacher ratios, and higher teaching and learning standards then the state was mandating 15 years ago.
