The primary responsibilities are: 1) Organizational, 2) Governance-Assurance of Executive Performance, 3)Board Governance, and 4)Cultivating & Maintaining Relationships. Regular meetings of the board are held at least eight(8) times a year. Meetings are held at Grace Center next door to Blessing House (5440 Grove Ave. in Lorain). FAVA (Firelands Association of the Visual Arts) of Oberlin is seeking board members! This dynamic non-profit arts organization actively engages in the promotion of the visual arts and art education in Lorain County!!! Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County,an initiative of Leadership Lorain County Class of 1994 and the county's sole provider of one-to-one youth mentoring, is looking for board members to help implement the agency's aggressive growth plan. The agency board is an active, hands on board responsible for resource development, the long range plan, and self-governance. The board meets every other month on the third Thursday at 7:30 a.m. for one hour on even numbered months.
