Lorain County Community Summit honors Class of 2009 Alumna

Virginia Haynes of the Lorain County Community Alliance and the BEST Class of 2009 was honored at the 10th Annual Lorain County Community Summit with the Mike Whitmore Memorial Award for Vision in Government.

The Mike Whitmore Award for Outstanding Public Service is designed to afford contemporaries in Lorain County public service and those who have benefitted from their efforts an opportunity to honor one of their own for achievement, contribution, vision and leadership.

Virginia is the Administrative Coordinator of the Lorain County Community Alliance. She is a Wellington Township Trustee, a board member of the Lorain County Office on Aging and the Lorain County Zoning Board of Appeals. Also, she serves on the Program Committee for Leadership Lorain County and was a member of the October Session Day Design Team for the new class year.
