United Way Seeks Week of Caring Request for Proposals!

United Way of Greater Lorain County (UWGLC) is excited to announce that its Week of Caring will take place the week of September 10, 2012. For those that have not participated in the past, the Week of Caring is just one way that United Way of Greater Lorain County partners with other organizations throughout the county to demonstrate our commitment to strengthen our community. It is a week of volunteer opportunities in which individuals and workplace groups across the county can get involved and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Keeping in line with its new Community Impact model, this year’s United Way projects will focus on UWGLC's targeted impact areas – Education, Income and Health. UWGLC have partnered with Jeff Griffiths from HandsOn Northeast Ohio to assist us with the focus, planning and implementation of Week of Caring projects. HandsOn will provide volunteer management resources, supply identification, reusable supplies and project management. UWGLC is now accepting Week of Caring Request for Proposals (RFPs) The packet includes a timeline for the Week of Caring process as well as space for you to provide an outline of your proposed project.
